Building Campaign

Building Campaign

We have been removed from our meeting location and are looking to move to a permanent facility! Please help make this God-sized step happen to expand our mission to take the gospel to 380 Corridor

MISSION:
Our current times have shown God’s hand in encouraging us to relocate and find a permanent meeting place. Our members are on a God-sized mission: bringing the Gospel to the 380 Corridor and growing His Kingdom in a permanent facility.

CATALYST:
The population growth in our area has been phenomenal the past 5 years, and the growth continues! We must respond with a permanent meeting place that welcomes all of our surrounding neighborhoods. The current closure of our former meeting place is prohibiting us from spreading the Gospel in the way we feel God intended for us.

OUTREACH:
The opportunity to bring the Gospel is unlimited in our area. A permanent facility will provide a church home for those seeking a place to belong, build relationships and hear the Gospel. Scroll to bottom to read the letter we sent our congregation that fleshes out the mission aspect.

IMMEDIATE NEED:
We want to make it clear: this will be a step of faith in two ways. First, we will have to raise funds for the start-up costs. Second, the lease will essentially double our current budget on rental. It’s still by far the most affordable option outside of the school rental. But it will take a trust that this is the Lord’s hand as well as an attitude of sacrifice to make this happen.

Prayer: Pray that the perfect location will be available, with all details falling into place.
Ask the Lord what ways you can be a part of this campaign (giving of materials, time or funds.)

Give: Our God-sized goal needs monetary support. We will NOT move forward until the funds are in place. Our goal is $165,000. It’s a lot, we know, but it is what we need. If you feel the Lord calling you to assist this campaign financially, that’s awesome! Pray for direction and wisdom.

If you feel led to give, you may give on this page or mail a gift (include "Building Campaign" on memo) here:

Share: Tell your friends, family, acquaintances and business partners about our mission to grow and relocate. Please share this information with anyone you may know. No gift is too small, and it’s tax deductible!

Thank you in advance for your prayers of this expansion of Cross Fellowship Church, and for any consideration you give in joining us and contributing to our mission.

Dear CFC Family,

We hope this finds you well. These have been challenging times without a doubt. I could list all of the things we are battling, but I’m sure you know. In fact, each of your families is probably battling things that we don’t even know about. We are here for you.

One of our challenges has been to figure out what we are going to do about a worship space. We have prayerfully pursued many avenues, most of which do not make sense for our church at this time. As I’m sure you’ve heard by now, we believe that there is a solution that, while a step of faith, makes the most sense for where our church is at and where we want to go.

The facility we are looking at is located on Navo Rd by Paloma Creek Elementary. It is a commercial park that is owned and managed by Christians who are excited about the prospect of us bringing the light of the gospel to this facility. While we would start out with a small area, there would be expansion opportunities if spaces next to us became available. There are going to be some construction costs as they will build out the space in a custom way for us. There is also going to be extra start-up costs for us to purchase equipment and convert the space into something used for a church. We also want to plan for spending some money to get the word out about our move and new location.

The Elders and Trustees have agreed to bring this opportunity before the congregation for a vote. We want to make it clear: this will be a step of faith in two ways. First, we will have to raise funds for the start-up costs. Second, the lease will essentially double our current budget on rental. As you’ll see in the numbers provided, it’s still by far the most affordable option outside of the school rental. But it will take a trust that this is the Lord’s hand as well as an attitude of sacrifice to make this happen.

Please pray over this decision. We will have our member’s meeting at 1 pm on Sunday, October 18th. We will have it at the location, so bring a chair to sit in. It will either be outside or in an empty building. We will have time for discussion and questions. I genuinely believe that this is God providing for us a next step in our ministry at Cross Fellowship. But this decision is not just up to me. It’s up to all of us. That’s the beauty of a congregational way of running the church. We’re all in this together.

What I would love to see come out of all of this is a campaign to “relaunch” our church, so to speak. I will share more on Sunday, but my desire is to lead us to recapture our mission, to take the gospel to the 380 corridor. That is what we came out here to do. Because we believe that is the heart of God. I want to call this campaign “His Heart Beats” named after a song by Andrew Peterson celebrating the resurrection of Christ and all of the ramifications of that glorious event.

One of the verses goes like this:

His heart beats, He will never die again
I know that death no longer has dominion over Him
So my heart beats with the rhythm of the saints
As I look for the seeds the King has sown
To burst up from their graves

This is our mission: to be a part of the process of people who are dead in their sins all around us to burst up from their graves. To be a place of refuge for the broken and hurting, trapped in sin with no hope. To have a place of mission 24/7/365 to bring light to our communities. To once again see how grace changes everything.

Please be in prayer for Sunday and the future of our church.

To the praise of his glorious grace,

Jay
